The AAA states and/or requires that:

  • All course materials will be sent digitally to the student. Offline or paper course materials are not available.
  • The AAA will automatically add student details to the AAA e-mail list unless otherwise requested by the student in writing not to do so.
  • Printed Certificates will be ordered at monthly intervals and will be mailed out to students unless otherwise arranged.

To qualify for certification, a student must be able to fulfil the following obligations:

Study components:

  • Lessons are accessible online and may reference external (usually open-source) supplementary readings or videos from time to time.
  • Quizzes are compulsory and must be submitted for marking before the student can progress to the next lesson. Quizzes are “open book” which means that you can look up any material at all to help you answer the questions.
  • Written assignments may be given from time to time. Assignments are used to test the students comprehension of the bigger picture. Written assignments must be appropriately referenced and comply with Copyright law.
  • Video assignments will be given during clinical practice. Assignments are used to assess the student’s clinical competency and to provide feedback. Students must have access to a device with video-recording abilities (such as a phone or tablet). Students must ensure the practice of acupuncture (including needles or therapeutic laser) is lawful in the jurisdiction where they complete the clinical practice.
  • E-mail support: Fees paid by the student cover their right of e-mail access to a tutor whether or not that right is exercised. Right of access provides for unlimited reasonable written access to a tutor for the purposes of clarification of any points or issues raised in the current lesson material only. These questions must be in the English language. Students who continually abuse their right of access may forfeit that right.
  • Access: Lessons are for the exclusive use of the enrolled student ONLY and no material provided to the student may be given, shared, lent, or sold to any other person or persons.
  • Copyright: The Copyright of any lesson or material within a lesson remains the property of the Copyright holder. The AAA reserves the right to withhold the student Certificate if Copyright law is breached and the student does not remedy the Copyright breach, in writing, within 28 days of being notified of the breach in writing by the AAA.

Clinical practice:

  • Students are strongly advised not to consult professionally with the public until they have graduated, except under the guidance and supervision of a qualified practitioner.
  • Students are strongly advised to obtain public liability and professional indemnity student insurance prior to commencing any clinical practice.
  • The AAA, lecturers, or staff will not be held liable in respect of any information, instruction, or advice given to any student, ex-student or practitioner, whether directions given at any time or in any situation are followed or not. The course is given as advice and instruction, and anyone carrying out treatment under these conditions must accept full responsibility for such consultation and/or treatment. The student will assume all risks associated with working on animals.
  • The student agrees to hold harmless and indemnify the AAA from any and all claims, demands or lawsuits for property damage, personal injury or death, including legal costs, arising out of or related to any techniques learned in this course.
  • The student is aware that they need to follow laws regarding animal acupuncture and will not hold the AAA responsible for any violations of those laws.

Bonuses:

  • Bonuses are not essential for the completion of the course and are not part of the course. Bonuses are provided on a per-offer basis, at a specific point in time, and/or in limited quantities. If a bonus becomes unavailable, the AAA will let the student know in writing. No refund requests can be made for bonuses.

The AAA reserves the right to:

  • Make any changes at any time to course content, syllabus, lecturers, guidelines, schedules, seminars/tutorials, clinics, examination methods etc. or any other provision contained in the course prospectus or any brochure. The student acknowledges the unreserved right of the AAA to, at any time, alter its course curriculum as it sees fit.

Payment & Refund Policy

Payment Policy:

The following policy applies:

  • Payment of student fees are accepted through the online payment provider (Stripe).
  • Students on a payment plan must remain regular with their payments to ensure they do not fall behind. Late payments will result in the course offer being revoked until due monies are paid to the AAA. This includes lesson content, assignments, quizzes, live components, and Certification.
  • The Student must pay all monies owed to the AAA to be eligible for Certification.
  • The AAA reserves the right to charge interest on all overdue course fees and/or payment for products ordered at the daily percentage rate equivalent to the prime overdraft rate for the time being applied by Citibank plus GST (10%). This charge applies from 5 working days after due date of payment.
  • All student fees will be refunded if the AAA cancels or postpones course commencement by more than four weeks, unless alternative arrangements can be made which are acceptable to the student.

Refund Policy:

Applications for refunds for courses will only be accepted if they are received, in writing. Refund terms are as follows:

  • Strictly no refunds for presale discounted courses.
  • A full refund of the paid fees will be provided for standard courses (including courses purchased with a payment plan) if a refund request is received by the AAA in writing within 14 days of the student enrolling. Refunds will be made using the method of payment used by the student to pay the fees, and course access will be terminated.
  • Past 14 days from the student enrolment date, no refunds will apply. All monies paid for that course are non-refundable and all course fees still outstanding and payment instalments plans are to be honoured.

Withdrawals:

  • Students wishing to withdraw from their studies completely once the course has commenced must advise the AAA in writing. All course fees still outstanding and payments instalments plans are to be honoured.
