About Dr Lucie

Following Dr Gilchrist’s passing, Dr Lucie Bland became the new Course Director of the Animal Acupuncture Academy in 2022.

Dr Lucie holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from The University of Oxford and a PhD in Animal Biology from Imperial College London. She is also a former University Lecturer in Animal Biology & Animal Health.

Dr Lucie also holds Certifications in Animal Acupuncture, Canine Myofunctional Therapy, Cold Laser Therapy, and is a Reiki Master.

Dr Lucie has a strong background in both Western & Eastern approaches to healing and is passionate about teaching students how to develop their own healing intuition and methods.

Dr Lucie's Story

We all wish we were already doing something we love and helping animals in a meaningful way.

I used to work as a zoo biologist and University Lecturer in Animal Biology. Yet, I was consistently disheartened by the minimal impact I was having on animals’ lives.

Speed up multiple years and retraining with the Animal Acupuncture Academy and Dr Gilchrist, I found my true path practicing acupuncture and other holistic therapies in small animal veterinary practice.

I am honored to be the new Course Director of the Animal Acupuncture Academy and to share the power of animal acupuncture with the world. I can’t wait to show you how to not only help animals get healthy, but also transform your own life along the way!
